WHO WE ARE

We are Dennis Port residents who formed this group to speak with a unified voice on crucial issues affecting our village. We will endeavor to be informed about town and private actions that could impact the quality of life in our unique village for generations to come. We also see our role as a clearing house for ideas and suggestions about what a future Dennis Port should look like.

 

Some of us are relative newcomers. Others have lived in Dennis Port for decades. Collectively, we represent centuries of residence in what was once the maritime and commercial hub of our town. We are not anti-development and in fact, will welcome growth that is orderly, well-planned and takes into consideration the best interests of residents, including abutters,  and the village as a whole.

 

We believe that the village would be best served when there is a blend of single and multi-family housing that includes significant green space, development that does not over burden our fragile water resources, which means proper attention to waste water systems, pedestrian-friendly traffic flow that allows walking access to all parts of the village and architectural design that is commensurate with the character of the adjoining neighborhoods.
